LBM
I guess I’ve come to the end
I had a good run but
it’s over now
It was well worth the
pennies spent
But I can’t get back my time
And I wouldn’t want to
No, I wouldn’t dare to
Oh, what a thing to do
Cause I’d do it all again
The nights fatigued, the stress growing in my chest
Cause it’s done
The world opened up before me
And I won
And everything that I can do
Has come
Waiting to be conquered
Sounds like fun
As time races on without me
And I’m just catching up with history
I am done
I guess we’ve come to the end
All those hours I have lost and found again
Flooding though my synapses and falling out my eyes
Wiped away with shaking hands don’t tell me you’re surprised
It’s this precious time filling up my head
This fear that I’ll forget what did exist
Cause now it’s done
The world opened up before me
And I won
And everything that I can do
Has come
Waiting to be conquered
Sounds like fun
As time races on without me
And I’m just catching up with history
I am done
I’m a product of this end
The wasted minutes, the vital seconds,
The chorus of my friends
Will make up for whatever comes next
I hope it’s good but what could compare?
Still I’ll try
Oh I’ll try
To do a justice to this time
Cause I'll never get to do this again
With you my lovely sisters but it’s not over
No we’re not done
The world opened up before us
And we won
And everything that we can do
Has just begun
Waiting to be conquered
Doesn’t it sound fun?
The world can turn without us
Cause it’s not always about us
And this little haven we’ve called home
Is better than what we’ve been shown
Of picket fences, plastic houses
Better even than our spouses
We’ll live forever in this manor
With wooden walls, ionic glamour
And so these words I’ve shared with you
Are just the best that I can do
To honor you and all you gave me
Cause we made up our own history
